Vallejo Evaluator’s Status Report, September 2025 Updated
Under the agreement, Section 9.F.3, the Evaluator will conduct a comprehensive assessment covering the effective date of the agreement to June 30, 2025. This report is a mid-year assessment relative to the progress on the Settlement Agreement reforms.

Vallejo Evaluation Team Site Visit, June 2-5, 2025
The Vallejo Evaluation Team (VET) conducted a site visit in Vallejo from June 2 to June 5, 2025, and was supported by the California Department of Justice (CALDOJ) members assigned to this project. The site visit centered on providing technical assistance to the Vallejo Police Department (VPD) as it continues to implement the reforms under the Agreement entered into with CALDOJ.

First Year Work Plan
To view the First Year Work Plan agreed upon by CALDOJ and the City of Vallejo, please click the button below. The First Year Work Plan was amended 5/7/2025 for a transcription error in Section 4.
This supplemental workplan adjusts the originally submitted Year One workplan to align with the fiscal budget of the City, pursuant to Agreement Section 9.D.1. Nothing alters the requirements for VPD compliance with the identified work. Rather, this work plan adjusts the work to align with the fiscal requirements of the City of Vallejo. It also provides clarity on the Evaluator’s reporting under Agreement Section 9.F.3 which will publish in July 2025. This is in addition to the planned Annual Report for November 2025. This workplan also addresses transcription errors for Section Four reforms to include B. 1-3 and C.4 as the active reforms rather than the reported A.1-3 and B.4).
